30 1/2" Blade, 37 1/2" Overall

The robust qiangang blade with two fullers on each side, mounted in solid iron fittings with gold floral designs on the suspension bands. The leather covered scabbard lacquered black. The blade in very good condition, clean & unpolished. The scabbard & fittings all in very good condition.

While the age of this dao has not been determined by examining the tang, rugged iron fittings, & heavy blades such as this are typical of 18th c. Qing dao.
